2nd July 2016 – Trail Walk

To help your training, in addition to all of our Nordic Walking sessions, outdoor circuit training classes, we are also be running a “Trail Walk” on Saturday 2nd July from Sherston to Stanton St Quintin, if you would like to join us – details on our website – click here.

Join us on this Trail Walk from Sherston through the villages of Luckington, Alderton to Stanton St Quintin, returning to the start by pre-sited transport. This Trail Walk is around 14km.

This is a great way to see more of the local countryside, as well as keeping fit, developing stamina, endurance and strength for more longer distance events (Gauzebrook Gallivant, Trekking Holidays, Challenge Series etc)…

You will need to wear and bring the following in your rucksack:

  • Sturdy walking boots
  • Warm layers
  • Hat, gloves, sun glasses, sun cream
  • Waterproof trousers and jacket
  • Water
  • Flask (optional)
  • Snacks
  • Personal first aid kit (incl medication – please let the Walk Leader know of any and where to find it please, should you need assistance to use it)

This Trail walk will start from the High Street in Sherston at around 11.30am (time for a coffee before heading off!), and we will be in Stanton St Quintin by round 3.00pm. It would be advantageous to pre-site some vehicles in Stanton St Quintin, hence once you have confirmed you are joining us we will arrange this element of the walk. You are welcome to bring dogs so long as they remain under control throughout the walk.

Please confirm your attendance. A minimum of 6 people is required to run this Trail Walk. Please notify us of any medication being taken/injury/ailment ahead of the event, as well as on the day of the walk.

This Trail walk will cost £12.00 on a “Pay As You Go” basis. Payments are to be made via our website shop, where you will also find details of our “Buy 5 Trail Walks Get 1 Free” offer in addition to other fees for both Hill & Mountain Days.
