Hill Days & Mountain Days

Hill Days

The Cotswolds, Marlborough Downs, Pewsey Vale, Ridgeway are all areas we enjoy on our popular ‘Hill Days’. Each ‘Hill Day’ is typically less than a 45-minute drive from Malmesbury, and generally 3-6 hours duration, during which time we will cover anything up to 24km (15 miles).

Each ‘Hill Day’ is advertised in Events as well as in our regular free Newsletter, with details where we are going, duration and distance of each walk. We aim to offer a ‘Hill Day’ every couple of months, and for those Members on a NW+ Package the cost of 1 Hill Day is included (when either a Trail Walk or PT session is not used); alternately, attendees can purchase a ‘Buy 5 Get 1 Free’ deal; or ‘Pay As You Go’ – all fees can be found in the ‘Shop’. To join a ‘Hill Day’ please contact us at steve@geminioutdoor.com or call 07752 567959.

Mountain Days

We use the Brecon Beacons for our ‘Mountain Days’, and whether the Black Mountain, Black Mountains or Central Beacons we look to maximise our hill time. Hence, we generally leave the Malmesbury area early to avoid traffic hold-ups and be able to park with ease. This way we generally enjoy crowd-free days and are finished by id-afternoon to again avoid traffic delays and a brew on the way home! During our ‘Mountain Days’ anyone wanting to improve their ‘map & compass skills’ as well as ‘health & fitness’ will be able to learn from International Mountain Leader, Steve Ellis who will guide you through the intricacies of navigating in the mountains.
